Alex Barone hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Lemi Çağa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Egg Chasers FC's Alex Barone got a free kick in the 10th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gaafar Jesus in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Albert Godsall prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gaafar Jesus recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaafar Jesus in the 17th minute of play forced Egg Chasers FC's goalkeeper Albert Godsall to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Örebro FF booed when Egg Chasers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lee Bannatyne didn't get a good kick on the ball. The throw-in from Jay Palmer in the 23rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Örebro FF's Djondo Djokodamono. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alex Barone during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Egg Chasers FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Alex Barone hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaafar Jesus in the 27th minute of play forced Egg Chasers FC's goalkeeper Albert Godsall to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Sten Hård had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gaafar Jesus's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Albert Godsall read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Gaafar Jesus got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Albert Godsall quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 39 minutes into the match, Örebro FF's goalkeeper Ivan Turina had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Damian Stonehouse. Örebro FF's attentive Łukasz Piszczek managed to snatch the ball when Jay Palmer made a throw-in in the 40th minute of the game. Gaafar Jesus scored 0-2 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Albert Godsall, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dominic Beale was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute of the match Jay Palmer shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ivan Turina showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 62 minutes into the game, Lee Bannatyne was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Egg Chasers FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Örebro FF the free kick. Lee Bannatyne kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. 66 minutes into the match, Örebro FF's goal looked a bit too open when Dominic Beale came free, but Ivan Turina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The throw-in from Jay Palmer in the 67th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Örebro FF's Enes Akdoğan. In the 68th match minute, Egg Chasers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damian Stonehouse to maneuver through the defense. David Batty's late challenge caught a Örebro FF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. David Batty helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Egg Chasers FC's David Batty got a free kick in the 69th minute. In the 70th minute, Gaafar Jesus got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match clock showed 76 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Gaafar Jesus sped through Egg Chasers FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Albert Godsall. Gaafar Jesus's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Albert Godsall read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. Rutger Magnusson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albert Godsall having to interfere. Örebro FF's attentive Łukasz Piszczek managed to snatch the ball when Jay Palmer made a throw-in in the 85th minute of the game. With a little luck, Egg Chasers FC's Albert Godsall got control of the ball when Gaafar Jesus tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rutger Magnusson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Albert Godsall made a huge save. The Örebro FF players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
