Teis Schneeberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bøje Engelfelt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Alvarado in the 14th minute of play forced F.C. Britt Thorsell kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. If Julio Asad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half GuateFortín were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After a rather tough play, GuateFortín's Douglas Ayala got a free kick in the 51st minute. Teis Schneeberg made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Milton Umaña sent off a good shot on target. Carlos Navarro Montoya showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bøje Engelfelt in the 77th minute of the match.
