Fernando Diniz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Demario Caceo in the 7th minute of play. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nacional's goalkeeper Katia Villalobos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With 10 minutes on the clock, Roldanillo Ucedo commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 10th minute of the game. One of Nacional:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of AnÐaRaHy:s goal. Cordarrol Chamochin's late challenge caught a AnÐaRaHy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cordarrol Chamochin helped the player get up and apologised. Cordarrol Chamochin kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Nacional's zone, Arnaldo Baiano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Katia Villalobos came out of the goal and Arnaldo Baiano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 19 minutes into the game, John Kennedy was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AnÐaRaHy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nacional the free kick. After 19 played minutes AnÐaRaHy got a freekick which was hit by John Kennedy. Fernando Diniz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giro Horduña, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. John Kennedy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Katia Villalobos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. In the 36th minute, AnÐaRaHy's John Kennedy dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. AnÐaRaHy's Teodoro Cristos managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Herena Guion in the 40 minute of the game. A collision led to AnÐaRaHy getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Otávio Valle hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when John Kennedy got free with Katia Villalobos in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Katia Villalobos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arnaldo Baiano went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
The wind increased when Arnaldo Baiano made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of AnÐaRaHy booed when Nacional was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Demario Caceo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 58 minutes, Presebal Artacho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nacional and the AnÐaRaHy players grew even worse after the yellow card. Presebal Artacho kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. In the 59th minute Dadá Correia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Katia Villalobos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Didi Galvão kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. In the 65th minute John Kennedy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Katia Villalobos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. AnÐaRaHy's John Kennedy got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Teodoro Cristos kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. AnÐaRaHy's Fernando Diniz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save AnÐaRaHy from getting a goal against them. Katia Villalobos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from John Kennedy went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. AnÐaRaHy were awarded a corner in the 83th minute after Nacional's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dadá Correia took the corner. A well done corner resulted in Hílton Furlan drilling the ball in to score 4-0 behind Nacional's goalkeeper. With his leg Fernando Diniz managed to avoid a goal in the 88thth minute, when Nacional's Giro Horduña fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Nacional were awarded a corner in the 89th minute after AnÐaRaHy's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Demario Caceo took the corner. 91 minutes into the match, AnÐaRaHy's goalkeeper Fernando Diniz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gonzalo Petit. After 91 played minutes AnÐaRaHy got a freekick which was hit by Arnaldo Baiano. Zenon Moyuelo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 93rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fernando Diniz. AnÐaRaHy's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Nacional players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for AnÐaRaHy.
