José Ramos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Fernando Diniz made a huge save. With a little luck, AnÐaRaHy's Fernando Diniz got control of the ball when José Ramos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Arnaldo Baiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Sergio Gutierrez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, John Kennedy notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s Sergio Gutierrez. Sergio Gutierrez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ulpiano Zapata charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ulpiano Zapata the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.

After 57 minutes, Humberto Moscoso made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. AnÐaRaHy's Fernando Diniz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Daniil Valakopoulos fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s protests and gave Daniil Valakopoulos a yellow card for diving instead. AnÐaRaHy's Benjamin Marinho was substituted for Hílton Furlan. In the 63rd minute, Daniil Valakopoulos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Diómedes Rodriguez struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Fernando Diniz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ►Las Mercedes F.C◄. 67 minutes into the game, John Kennedy recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sergio Gutierrez. Lambis Kostopoulos was slow to take the kick. During this time ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s players had a chance to rest. John Kennedy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Fernando Diniz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. 91 minutes in the game, Arnaldo Baiano fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Sergio Gutierrez having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diómedes Rodriguez in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fernando Diniz saved AnÐaRaHy from getting behind. In the 97th minute Arnaldo Baiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sergio Gutierrez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
