Spectators: 8049 (Terracing: 6038, Seating: 1851, VIP seats: 160) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Edgard Cabral kicked off to start the match. In the 4th minute Edgard Cabral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mirko Vervoort saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mirko Vervoort made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Edgard Cabral sent off a good shot on target. Mijdrecht Maffia's Pieter de Zwart got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Mijdrecht Maffia getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Gerrit Driel hit a great ball. 20 minutes into the match, Mijdrecht Maffia's goal looked a bit too open when Edgard Cabral came free, but Mirko Vervoort reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd match minute, Goiás Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vítor Loyola to maneuver through the defense. Mirko Vervoort made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Edgard Cabral sent off a good shot on target. In the 25th minute, Edgard Cabral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Edgard Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Goiás Esporte Clube's Benigno Ixona got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Edgard Cabral blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mirko Vervoort having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Goiás Esporte Clube's Valdir Neves got a free kick in the 39th minute. In the 48th minute Goiás Esporte Clube were awarded a corner. Edgard Cabral went to the cornerflag to take it. 49 minutes into the match, Mijdrecht Maffia's goalkeeper Mirko Vervoort had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edgard Cabral. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gert Smits to strike the kick off in the second half. 58 minutes into the match, Goiás Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Mané Quirino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gert Smits. After 65 played minutes Mijdrecht Maffia got a freekick which was hit by Gert Smits. The supporters of Goiás Esporte Clube booed when Mijdrecht Maffia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carel Thomasse didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edgard Cabral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 70thth minute of the game Osmar de Moraes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mijdrecht Maffia's Mirko Vervoort was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 75th minute, Gert Smits made a precise shot to the right of Mané Quirino. Goiás Esporte Clube's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 78th minute Pieter de Zwart shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mané Quirino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mijdrecht Maffia's attentive Gerrit Driel managed to snatch the ball when Vítor Loyola made a throw-in in the 82nd minute of the game. Mané Quirino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pieter de Zwart, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Osmar de Moraes in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mirko Vervoort saved Mijdrecht Maffia from getting behind. After having played for 90 minutes, Osmar de Moraes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Goiás Esporte Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Osmar de Moraes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 91st match minute, Goiás Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliézer Barros to maneuver through the defense. In the 92nd minute, Roger Rekers sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Goiás Esporte Clube's Mané Quirino didn't even have to move. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Mijdrecht Maffia walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
