When Oakham's Clive Tan in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Shah Henderson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgard Cabral in the 44th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edgard Cabral was the one to do the kick off. Shah Henderson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdir Neves in the 58th minute of the match. 62 minutes into the match, Oakham's goal looked a bit too open when Dênis Faria came free, but Shah Henderson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Goiás Esporte Clube had won after a very even match.
