In the 18th minute Jonatan Hedbom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mirko Vervoort saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Laurens van der Tol hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 20th minute, Ingmar Alefors got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to BELAJ BOYS getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Kent Ferm hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Mijdrecht Maffia defense, Daniel Trillkott kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mirko Vervoort. The Mijdrecht Maffia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mirko Vervoort should have stopped the shot. Gerrit Driel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Fredrik Norberg made a huge save. Jan Rein Roetering could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Fredrik Norberg made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jarl Waller in the 38th minute of play forced Mijdrecht Maffia's goalkeeper Mirko Vervoort to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute, Mijdrecht Maffia's Roger Rekers ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fredrik Norberg. Fredrik Norberg yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Mijdrecht Maffia's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Fredrik Norberg stood somewhat misplaced when Gert Smits came free in front of goal and shot 2-1 to the left of him in the 44 minute. Cobus Wolf charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cobus Wolf the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 47th minute, Cobus Wolf hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gert Smits was the one to do the kick off. Fredrik Norberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gert Smits, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cobus Wolf kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Trillkott got free with Mirko Vervoort in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mirko Vervoort was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Edgar Eklund showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 55 minute of play. Laurens van der Tol kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. A collision led to Mijdrecht Maffia getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Hubert Spanjer hit a great ball. BELAJ BOYS's Ingmar Alefors got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to BELAJ BOYS getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Ingvar Stephansson hit a great ball. In the 70th match minute, BELAJ BOYS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ingvar Stephansson to maneuver through the defense. In the 72nd minute, Otto Genkenaar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fredrik Norberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. In the 77th minute, Kent Ferm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roger Rekers took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 78th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fredrik Norberg. BELAJ BOYS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 79 minutes, Laurens van der Tol mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mijdrecht Maffia and the BELAJ BOYS players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fredrik Norberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gert Smits's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. BELAJ BOYS's Fredrik Norberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan Rein Roetering in the 88th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the BELAJ BOYS players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Mijdrecht Maffia.
