Amri Soebandono's late challenge caught a Goiás Esporte Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amri Soebandono helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Begu Ganjang getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Amri Soebandono hit a great ball. Edgard Cabral might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dewa Keep. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edgard Cabral ran back to his position shaking his head. After 32 played minutes Begu Ganjang got a freekick which was hit by Porman Pandiangan. If Edgard Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Goiás Esporte Clube fans' excitement grew in the 41st match minute when Goiás Esporte Clube's Osmar de Moraes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edgard Cabral to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 63rd minute Tukul Simanungkalit shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mané Quirino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dewa Keep was out of position in the 65 minute of play, and Edgard Cabral capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Edgard Cabral really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Porman Pandiangan in the 69th minute of play forced Goiás Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Mané Quirino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mané Quirino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tukul Simanungkalit, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. 77 minutes into the match, Goiás Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Porman Pandiangan came free, but Mané Quirino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Eliézer Barros fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Goiás Esporte Clube's protests and gave Eliézer Barros a yellow card for diving instead. Eliézer Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. The Goiás Esporte Clube players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
