When Jeferson Nóbrega fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Galo do Japi's protests and gave Jeferson Nóbrega a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Galo do Japi's Jeferson Nóbrega got a free kick in the 19th minute. 21 minutes into the game, Diamantino Câmara threw the ball into play from the sideline. Galo do Japi's Dudu Leme quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Galo do Japi's Armando Sabino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Galo do Japi from getting a goal against them. After 30 played minutes Galo do Japi got a freekick which was hit by Cícero Montenegro. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Jeferson Nóbrega managed to get in a good position for a shot. Galo do Japi's supporters rose to their feet, but Jeferson Nóbrega was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vítor Damas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Esquadrão Lusitano's Vítor Damas got control of the ball when Jeferson Nóbrega tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Esquadrão Lusitano defense, Jeferson Nóbrega kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vítor Damas. The Esquadrão Lusitano fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vítor Damas should have stopped the shot. After having played for 72 minutes, Jeferson Nóbrega managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galo do Japi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeferson Nóbrega was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ronaldo Joinvilense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 78 minutes into the match, Galo do Japi's goal looked a bit too open when 狄夕远 came free, but Armando Sabino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Yavuzalp Eroğul came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Esquadrão Lusitano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yavuzalp Eroğul couldn't finish the play. In the 83rd minute, 狄夕远 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Armando Sabino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Bouzas, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 88th minute Esquadrão Lusitano were awarded a corner. Bähräm Abduläzimov went to the cornerflag to take it. Przemyslaw Indyk made a great header on Esquadrão Lusitano's corner, it was just that Galo do Japi's Armando Sabino managed to reach the ball for a save. 狄夕远 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 96th minute, Galo do Japi's Jeferson Nóbrega ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Vítor Damas. Vítor Damas yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-3. Esquadrão Lusitano were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
