The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. K.F TIRANA's Branden Shelton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Paulo Amaral in the 3rd minute of play. In the 8th match minute, K.F TIRANA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marsel Spaha to maneuver through the defense. K.F TIRANA's Branden Shelton proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save K.F TIRANA from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Lupere FC - DMZ's Edmundo Toscano got a free kick in the 22nd minute. 23 minutes into the match, Lupere FC - DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Wincenty Roman came free, but Rodriguinho Sergipano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 24 minutes into the game, Edmundo Toscano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lupere FC - DMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave K.F TIRANA the free kick. In the 25th minute of the match Endri Caci shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rodriguinho Sergipano showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. João Paulo Amaral's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 28thth minute, Branden Shelton skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a defensive mix-up in K.F TIRANA's zone, Cláudio Loyola stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Branden Shelton came out of the goal and Cláudio Loyola tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Branden Shelton made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Cláudio Loyola sent off a good shot on target. When João Paulo Amaral came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Lupere FC - DMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Paulo Amaral couldn't finish the play. If Cláudio Loyola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Falcão Tande charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Falcão Tande the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 47th match minute, Lupere FC - DMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Falcão Tande to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wincenty Roman made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Wincenty Roman dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rodriguinho Sergipano, 1-1. Valdomiro Nóbrega kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cláudio Loyola in the 60th minute of play forced K.F TIRANA's goalkeeper Branden Shelton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the K.F TIRANA defense, Cláudio Loyola kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Branden Shelton. The K.F TIRANA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Branden Shelton should have stopped the shot. In the 74th minute, K.F TIRANA's Paco Cano dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. 79 minutes into the match, K.F TIRANA's goal looked a bit too open when João Paulo Amaral came free, but Branden Shelton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodriguinho Sergipano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paco Cano in the 82nd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Paco Cano kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rodriguinho Sergipano. That made the score 2-3 in the 85 minute of play. In the 88th minute, João Paulo Amaral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rodriguinho Sergipano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elvis Durollari, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. When João Paulo Amaral came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Lupere FC - DMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Paulo Amaral couldn't finish the play. In the 93rd minute Inácio Sampaio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Branden Shelton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of K.F TIRANA booed when Lupere FC - DMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cláudio Loyola didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paco Cano received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rodriguinho Sergipano came out and tried to block the shot, but Paco Cano slotted it home off the left post making it 2-4 in the 95th minute. When the final whistle sounded K.F TIRANA left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Lupere FC - DMZ.
