The referee ignored Juoksengi's protests and gave John Wiberg a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Juoksengi's John Wiberg got a free kick in the 3rd minute. If Melker Kämpe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A sloppy throw-in by Domingos Giraldo in the 11th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Juoksengi's Motta Medel. Domingos Giraldo hit a great ball. Melker Kämpe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Txatxu having to interfere. Paulo Txatxu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Melker Kämpe, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. 24 minutes into the match, Melker Kämpe notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Q. T. I.'s Paulo Txatxu. Paulo Txatxu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mats Jakobsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ermegildo Sotil, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. 31 minutes had been played when some careless play by Juoksengi's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rolando Su was slow to take the kick. During this time Q. T. I.'s players had a chance to rest. Rolando Su made a great header on Q. T. I.'s corner, it was just that Juoksengi's Mats Jakobsson managed to reach the ball for a save. Lennart Gunnarsson hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. I.'s Laureano Mercurio was substituted for Domingos Giraldo. The supporters of Q. T. I. booed when Juoksengi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Motta Medel didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nestor Chap was the one to do the kick off. I. got a freekick which was hit by Laureano Mercurio. In the 70th minute Nestor Chap shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mats Jakobsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 76 minutes into the game, Nestor Chap cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Mats Jakobsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 81st minute, Lennart Gunnarsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Juoksengi's Mats Jakobsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Juoksengi from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Q. T. I.'s Ignacio Ignatius got a free kick in the 86th minute. Juoksengi's Matthias Ekegren got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mats Jakobsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delmiro Macerio in the 88th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Melker Kämpe in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paulo Txatxu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 94 minutes into the game, Laureano Mercurio threw the ball into play from the sideline. Juoksengi's Josef Lundkvist quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. If Josef Lundkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matthias Ekegren hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match.
