An unexpectedly hard shot by Tuncay Cansever in the 18th minute of play forced Pau Nas Canelas's goalkeeper Bai Chao Zheng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ludomir Barna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Håkan Söderberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Degerfors IF's goalkeeper Håkan Söderberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Christoph Haßelmann. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Tuncay Cansever managed to get in a good position for a shot. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Edinho Moraes made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tuncay Cansever got free with Bai Chao Zheng in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Pau Nas Canelas getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Dong Zhen Lin hit a great ball. Tuncay Cansever blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bai Chao Zheng having to make a save. Bai Chao Zheng took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tuncay Cansever, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tuncay Cansever who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 88thth minute tested the skills of Bai Chao Zheng when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 95th minute, Degerfors IF's Tuncay Cansever ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bai Chao Zheng. Bai Chao Zheng yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Degerfors IF walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
