Gaspar Pacho in the 25thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Lumír Vosecký, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 29th minute Houston Floyd shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stipe Pletikosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrej Kramarić in the 32nd minute of play forced American Airlines's goalkeeper Lumír Vosecký to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. George Costanza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stipe Pletikosa having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, Spams's goal looked a bit too open when Houston Floyd came free, but Stipe Pletikosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, Spams's goal looked a bit too open when Kristofer Loyd came free, but Stipe Pletikosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Spams's Stipe Pletikosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Houston Floyd in the 48th minute of play.

Spams made a substitution. Ramon Lizardi replaced Andrej Kramarić. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Houston Floyd to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as American Airlines's George Costanza slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Stipe Pletikosa. That made the score 1-1 after 70 minutes of play. After 77 played minutes Spams got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Mouricio. Stipe Pletikosa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of George Costanza's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Houston Floyd recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramon Lizardi in the 87th minute of play forced American Airlines's goalkeeper Lumír Vosecký to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 91 minutes into the game, American Airlines's Kristofer Loyd nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Stipe Pletikosa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. If George Costanza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match was over American Airlines could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Spams throughout the match.
