With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andreas Svensson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Filip Örtlund got free with Müjdat Egelioğlu in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 42 minutes into the match, KOO Tigers's goal looked a bit too open when Christer Boberg came free, but Müjdat Egelioğlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to KOO Tigers getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Hurşit Tamerk hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Sigvard Blixt's late challenge caught a KOO Tigers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
