In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Lugano's goalkeeper Godo Gøl, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 41st minute of the game Vico Sticher made a throw-in which Gregor Wirth played forward. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul got free with Miklos Hemmel in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the match clock showed 82 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon sped through Uggeløse SIK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Miklos Hemmel. 87 minutes into the match, FC Lugano's goalkeeper Godo Gøl had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alex Wenike. An unexpectedly hard shot by Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon in the 93rd minute of play forced Uggeløse SIK's goalkeeper Miklos Hemmel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Uggeløse SIK players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FC Lugano.
