The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Chen Hong Jun stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gustavo Gol's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. If Torsten Lekberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 6th minute, Ingmar Hedling hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edvin van der Saar made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Tord Kämpe sent off a good shot on target. Edvin van der Saar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tord Kämpe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Torsten Lekberg's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Edvin van der Saar firmly grabbed it by the left post. Chen Hong Jun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustavo Gol in the 15th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Cristiano Faria had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Chen Hong Jun. Lillhärdal BF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristiano Faria was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Chen Hong Jun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustavo Gol in the 26th minute of play. In the 26th minute Gustavo Gol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chen Hong Jun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lillhärdal BF's Chen Hong Jun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustavo Gol in the 30th minute of play. Tribos's Edvin van der Saar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tord Kämpe in the 31st minute of play. Chen Hong Jun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Faria in the 33rd minute of play. Lillhärdal BF's Tord Kämpe was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 35th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Tord Kämpe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Edvin van der Saar made a huge save. Chen Hong Jun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Faria in the 41st minute of play. After 41 played minutes Tribos got a freekick which was hit by Marcel Urbano. After 43 minutes, Marcel Urbano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tribos and the Lillhärdal BF players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ola Hermansson charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ola Hermansson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Chen Hong Jun didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gustavo Gol went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Gustavo Gol made the kick off in the second half. Chen Hong Jun made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Gustavo Gol sent off a good shot on target. If Tord Kämpe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 57 minutes into the match, Tribos's goal looked a bit too open when Tord Kämpe came free, but Edvin van der Saar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Torsten Lekberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edvin van der Saar having to interfere. Lillhärdal BF's Chen Hong Jun proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Lillhärdal BF from getting a goal against them. After 63 played minutes Lillhärdal BF got a freekick which was hit by Torsten Lekberg. Tribos made a substitution. Zé Paulo da Fonseca replaced Marcel Urbano. After a rather tough play, Lillhärdal BF's Torsten Lekberg got a free kick in the 64th minute. A long shot from Pedrinho Figueiredo in the 65th minute of play was well struck, but Chen Hong Jun made a really good save at the right post. When Tribos's Cristiano Faria in 66 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Chen Hong Jun guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Tribos's Edvin van der Saar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tord Kämpe in the 73rd minute of play. Chen Hong Jun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustavo Gol, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. 78 minutes into the game, Lillhärdal BF's Tord Kämpe nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edvin van der Saar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Edvin van der Saar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucas Quirze, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cesare Ucci made in the 87th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Lillhärdal BF's Romulo Iraunkor. Edvin van der Saar came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Lillhärdal BF's Tord Kämpe. But to his dismay, Tord Kämpe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. Chen Hong Jun made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristiano Faria in the 93rd minute. A collision led to Lillhärdal BF getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Ingmar Hedling hit a great ball. Chen Hong Jun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustavo Gol in the 95th minute of play. 97 minutes into the game, one of Lillhärdal BF:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Chen Hong Jun had in the 98thth minute some difficulties stopping Jaroslaw Winograd's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Tribos players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Lillhärdal BF.
