Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aldo Ekain in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlton Woodyat prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fernando Cefero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reg Faith in the 23rd minute of play. 29 minutes into the game, Shane Tomkins threw the ball into play from the sideline. Chacarita Jrs's Angelo Ciano quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The supporters of Chacarita Jrs booed when AMAZON DU DAHOMEY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ed Sawbridge didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind AMAZON DU DAHOMEY's goalkeeper Carlton Woodyat, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Reg Faith received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Fernando Cefero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sonny Featherstone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Cefero having to interfere. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aldo Ekain to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Chacarita Jrs booed when AMAZON DU DAHOMEY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ralph Beattie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reg Faith sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Reg Faith had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
