But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Remo Borges couldn't finish the play. Marzagão's Pedro Luís Fernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 徐轩光 in the 11th minute of play. Pedro Luís Fernandez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 徐轩光, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 于鸿鸿 scored 0-1 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Luís Fernandez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 21st minute 曹宁适 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Luís Fernandez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marzagão's Remo Borges got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pedro Luís Fernandez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 徐轩光, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. A collision led to Marzagão getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Pedrinho Fontes hit a great ball. If 于鸿鸿 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 于鸿鸿 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 35 minutes into the game, Válbson Fernandes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marzagão's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave DongFeng Honda FC the free kick. A collision led to Marzagão getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Válbson Fernandes hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Remo Borges managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marzagão's supporters rose to their feet, but Remo Borges was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. 洪宽银 breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 41 minutes, 何康延 mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the DongFeng Honda FC and the Marzagão players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 42nd match minute, DongFeng Honda FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 何康延 to maneuver through the defense. 徐轩光 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Pedro Luís Fernandez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half DongFeng Honda FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Remo Borges was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Marzagão's Pedro Luís Fernandez got control of the ball when 徐轩光 tried to sneak it across the goal line. 于鸿鸿 took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Luís Fernandez. Pedro Luís Fernandez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Remo Borges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th minute 龙昂洲 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Luís Fernandez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 79 minutes of play Marzagão's Válbson Fernandes was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 80th minute, Válbson Fernandes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marzagão's Pedro Luís Fernandez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Marzagão from getting a goal against them. Remo Borges charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Remo Borges the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of DongFeng Honda FC booed when Marzagão was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Remo Borges didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedro Luís Fernandez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 龙昂洲, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leonardo Vides in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck 洪宽银 prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Leonardo Vides received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. 洪宽银 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedrinho Fontes's late challenge caught a DongFeng Honda FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedrinho Fontes helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Marzagão's Pedrinho Fontes got a free kick in the 90th minute. DongFeng Honda FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
