Spectators: 7487 (Terracing: 5616, Seating: 1722, VIP seats: 149) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Bernabe Artizar kicked off to start the match. José Chilavert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inocencio Luar in the 5th minute of play. Blue Boys Predators's José Chilavert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernabe Artizar in the 12th minute of play. After 15 minutes, Inocencio Luar made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Blue Boys Predators's José Chilavert tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 18 minutes into the game, Bernabe Artizar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. José Chilavert was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 28th minute, Ceferino Restu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. José Chilavert was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. After 40 minutes of play, Esmeralda AFC's Bernabe Artizar made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. José Chilavert was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 47th minute, Harald Wallengren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 48th minute of the match Melquiades Lamberto shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but José Chilavert showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kasper Lindell was the one to do the kick off. Bernabe Artizar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. José Chilavert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bernabe Artizars short, quick shot in the 63rdth minute got José Chilavert to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Esmeralda AFC's Melquiades Lamberto got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. José Chilavert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ceferino Restu in the 68th minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Blue Boys Predators fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 71st minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 74 minutes, Esmeralda AFC's Melquiades Lamberto got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of José Chilavert. José Chilavert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernabe Artizar in the 82nd minute of play. In the 84th minute Bernabe Artizar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Chilavert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th minute, Bernabe Artizar had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emil Jakobsson during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Esmeralda AFC made a substitution. Aaron Fagildo replaced Bernabe Artizar. In a very dangerous position, a player in Blue Boys Predators fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 89th minute. Penalty! Blue Boys Predators's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Aaron Fagildo 96 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-10. José Chilavert stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aaron Fagildo's shot from short distance in the 99th minute. When the match clock showed 100 minutes, the score became 0-11 when Aaron Fagildo sped through Blue Boys Predators's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of José Chilavert. The Blue Boys Predators fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Esmeralda AFC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
