Inguma Carbajo charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Inguma Carbajo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Red Bull Magnus made a substitution. Percy Moraes replaced Antoine Griezmann. The supporters of Red Bull Magnus booed when Sakura Storm was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mane Palermo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Inguma Carbajo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Aloísio Guimarães firmly grabbed it by the left post. Sakura Storm's Pirmin Zambranos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sidnei Linhares in the 26th minute of play. The supporters of Red Bull Magnus booed when Sakura Storm was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lop Alcantara didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sakura Storm's Pirmin Zambranos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sidnei Linhares in the 29th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Allan Gomes in the 30th minute of play forced Sakura Storm's goalkeeper Pirmin Zambranos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Sakura Storm's Pasqual Terrazas got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Sidnei Linhares scored 0-1 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pirmin Zambranos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Pirmin Zambranos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Percy Moraes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Red Bull Magnus's Falcão Antunes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pirmin Zambranos. That made the score 0-2 after 65 minutes of play. After having played for 71 minutes, Pasqual Terrazas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sakura Storm's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pasqual Terrazas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match clock showed 76 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Lop Alcantara sped through Red Bull Magnus's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Aloísio Guimarães. When Inguma Carbajo came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Sakura Storm fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Inguma Carbajo couldn't finish the play. In the 93rd minute, Allan Gomes made a precise shot to the right of Pirmin Zambranos. Sakura Storm's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Red Bull Magnus's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
