Pirmin Zambranos was out of position in the 3 minute of play, and Zé Pedro Mendes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Zé Pedro Mendes really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Toribio Tejeido hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 12 minutes into the game, when Manny Gayangos put in a rough tackle. In the 11th minute, one of Sakura Storm:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sakura Storm. Pirmin Zambranos had in the 13thth minute some difficulties stopping Waldemar Ramos's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Goblins F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Rufio Cieza came free, but Sílvio Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sílvio Moraes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lop Alcantara in the 17th minute of the match. Pirmin Zambranos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felipe Drogba in the 28th minute. 30 minutes into the game, Pasqual Terrazas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sakura Storm's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Goblins F.C. the free kick. After 30 played minutes Sakura Storm got a freekick which was hit by Pasqual Terrazas. In the 31st minute of the match Waldemar Ramos shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pirmin Zambranos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 33rd minute, Egídio Cearense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Waldemar Ramos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Pirmin Zambranos made a huge save. The supporters of Goblins F.C. booed when Sakura Storm was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rufio Cieza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pasqual Terrazas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sílvio Moraes having to interfere. Pirmin Zambranos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zé Pedro Mendes in the 47th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Pirmin Zambranos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Pedro Mendes, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 54th match minute, Sakura Storm was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inguma Carbajo to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Sakura Storm's zone, Zé Pedro Mendes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pirmin Zambranos came out of the goal and Zé Pedro Mendes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Waldemar Ramos in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pirmin Zambranos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rufio Cieza kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 64th minute of the match Serafim Terra sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pirmin Zambranos skillfully saved the ball. In the 71st minute, Bruninho Campidelis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Goblins F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Errando Gabriel kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the game, Goblins F.C.'s Bruninho Campidelis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pirmin Zambranos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. After a defensive mix-up in Sakura Storm's zone, Felipe Drogba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pirmin Zambranos came out of the goal and Felipe Drogba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 90 minutes into the match, Pasqual Terrazas dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sílvio Moraes, 3-1. Sílvio Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pasqual Terrazas in the 95th minute of play. There was no doubt that Goblins F.C. were the better team. Goblins F.C.'s players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
