With an extended leg and a bit of luck Prospero Florin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arsenio Jesco got free with Cacá Mattos in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The corner led to Deportivo David Mardel's Jorge Osoitz getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 36 minutes into the game, Jorge Osoitz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deportivo David Mardel's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zerozinho Youth the free kick. Telmo Barreto took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Prospero Florin. Deportivo David Mardel's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Nicanor Gorbea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 44th minute Hamílton Lima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prospero Florin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Prospero Florin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osmar de Andrade, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute.
