Antônio Rezende made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 14th minute, Faustino Asprilla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dabi Romero was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Celso Montenegro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 16 minute of play. 20 minutes into the game, Orti Alcantara cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Antônio Rezende was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dabi Romero stood somewhat misplaced when Celso Montenegro came free in front of goal and shot 2-2 to the left of him in the 23 minute. Antônio Rezende made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnau Dagora in the 27th minute of play. In the 29th match minute, C.A Gryffindor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Eduardo Gonçalves to maneuver through the defense. After 30 minutes, Orti Alcantara mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Xorxa F.C. and the C.A Gryffindor players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 30 played minutes Xorxa F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Orti Alcantara. After a rather tough play, Xorxa F.C.'s Carmelo Camino got a free kick in the 33rd minute. A collision led to Xorxa F.C. getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Orti Alcantara hit a great ball. A collision led to C.A Gryffindor getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Celso Montenegro hit a great ball. A collision led to Xorxa F.C. getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Arnau Dagora hit a great ball. Dabi Romero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celso Montenegro in the 43rd minute of play. 46 minutes into the game, Carlos Eduardo Gonçalves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C.A Gryffindor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Xorxa F.C. the free kick. Xorxa F.C. made a substitution. Tulio Mas replaced Jorge Bencoiechea. A collision led to C.A Gryffindor getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Carlos Eduardo Gonçalves hit a great ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arnau Dagora to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, C.A Gryffindor's André Luís da Rocha got a free kick in the 53rd minute. After a rather tough play, Xorxa F.C.'s Aritz Font got a free kick in the 54th minute. Faustino Asprilla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Xorxa F.C. defense, Celso Montenegro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dabi Romero. The Xorxa F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dabi Romero should have stopped the shot. After 62 minutes, Aritz Font mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Xorxa F.C. and the C.A Gryffindor players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 61 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Xorxa F.C.! Dabi Romero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Celso Montenegro's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. Zé Pedro de Moraes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celso Montenegro in the 70th minute of play forced Xorxa F.C.'s goalkeeper Dabi Romero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tulio Mas charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tulio Mas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tulio Mas kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Muno Pujol hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. C.A Gryffindor's Carlos Eduardo Gonçalves couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 77th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Xorxa F.C.. Xorxa F.C.'s Dabi Romero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celso Montenegro in the 94th minute of play. C.A Gryffindor's Celso Montenegro got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 99 played minutes C.A Gryffindor got a freekick which was hit by Celso Montenegro. For all the effort they put into the match, the Xorxa F.C. players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for C.A Gryffindor.
