The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Janusz Woche kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Ivo Amaral yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After a rather tough play, DJK Füchtel Vechta's Emanuel Beckmeyer got a free kick in the 15th minute. Niels Lettrari showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Júnior Salles in the 18th minute of the match. The supporters of Real Cruzeiro FC booed when DJK Füchtel Vechta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hjalmar Rilke didn't get a good kick on the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Gonçalo Sarmento had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Niels Lettrari. DJK Füchtel Vechta's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gonçalo Sarmento was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Ivo Amaral was out of position in the 33 minute of play, and Basil Schubert capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Basil Schubert really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Real Cruzeiro FC's Ivo Amaral proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Real Cruzeiro FC from getting a goal against them. 39 minutes into the game, Peter Sprey recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ivo Amaral. Peter Sprey showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hjalmar Rilke in the 42nd minute of play forced Real Cruzeiro FC's goalkeeper Ivo Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peter Sprey came free with the goalkeeper in the 43rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ivo Amaral could save by the left post. In the 44th minute, DJK Füchtel Vechta's Leslie Miethe ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ivo Amaral. Ivo Amaral yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gonçalo Sarmento to make the kick off. After 52 minutes of play, DJK Füchtel Vechta's Basil Schubert made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ivo Amaral was left in no man's land by his defense there! 58 minutes into the game, DJK Füchtel Vechta's Basil Schubert nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ivo Amaral made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-1. After 61 minutes of play, DJK Füchtel Vechta's Basil Schubert made it 7-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ivo Amaral was left in no man's land by his defense there! Real Cruzeiro FC's Ivo Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peter Sprey in the 71st minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Real Cruzeiro FC's Gonçalo Sarmento slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Niels Lettrari. That made the score 7-2 after 73 minutes of play. Ivo Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peter Sprey, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. After a rather tough play, Real Cruzeiro FC's Ronaldo Vianna got a free kick in the 77th minute. When Luís Guilherme Cabral came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Real Cruzeiro FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Guilherme Cabral couldn't finish the play. Ivo Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Janusz Woche, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. In the 89th minute, Luís Guilherme Cabral ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Niels Lettrari was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-3. Ivo Amaral didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Basil Schubert went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-3 was the resulting score. DJK Füchtel Vechta walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
