Santos Mitxel started the match with the kick off. Niels Lettrari made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Roberto Nazario's late challenge caught a DJK Füchtel Vechta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roberto Nazario helped the player get up and apologised. In the 10th match minute, Baraja Española FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto Nazario to maneuver through the defense. In the 43rd minute Peter Sprey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amado Osmundo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Santos Mitxel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niels Lettrari having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Amado Osmundo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Sprey in the 52nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Osvaldo Ranolfo in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Niels Lettrari prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 57th minute Osvaldo Ranolfo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niels Lettrari saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Niels Lettrari took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldo Ranolfo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd minute of the match, Peter Sprey got a very nice opportunity to score, but Amado Osmundo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 75th minute, Apolo Bento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 95th minute of the match, Burkhardt Lüpke tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Amado Osmundo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
