Spectators: 7476 (Terracing: 5608, Seating: 1719, VIP seats: 149) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Válter Barbosa took the kick off in the first half of the match. Giovani de Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florencio Serafo in the 5th minute of play. In the 10th minute, Teofilo Dolfo fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 11 minutes into the match, Portuguesa's goalkeeper Giovani de Amaral had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Iker Rolado. In the 16th minute Teofilo Dolfo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giovani de Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Giovani de Amaral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teofilo Dolfo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Frederico Barbosa came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Portuguesa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frederico Barbosa couldn't finish the play. A collision led to C.A.P.J. getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Iker Rolado hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Portuguesa's Marcel Paraense got a free kick in the 35th minute. Narciso Montel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Válter Barbosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. C.A.P.J.'s Narciso Montel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Válter Barbosa in the 43rd minute of play. In the 45th match minute, Portuguesa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oscar Seco to maneuver through the defense.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Teofilo Dolfo made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcel Paraense in the 57th minute of play forced C.A.P.J.'s goalkeeper Narciso Montel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Giovani de Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iker Rolado, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Iker Rolado took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Giovani de Amaral. Giovani de Amaral dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 68 minutes into the match, Portuguesa's goal looked a bit too open when Iker Rolado came free, but Giovani de Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Válter Barbosa got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 1-1 in the right cross in the 73rd match minute before Narciso Montel had time to react. Narciso Montel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Válter Barbosa in the 77th minute. Narciso Montel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frederico Barbosa in the 85th minute of the match. Válter Barbosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narciso Montel having to interfere. Marcel Paraense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Portuguesa booed when C.A.P.J. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florencio Serafo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th minute of the match Oscar Seco sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Narciso Montel skillfully saved the ball. Portuguesa were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
