The tension between the Portuguesa and the Sparta LKS players grew even worse after the yellow card. Válter Barbosa hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. In the 11th minute Ludomir Koperski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giovani de Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Válter Barbosa in the 13th minute of play forced Sparta LKS's goalkeeper Kacper Japola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frederico Barbosa got free with Kacper Japola in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sylwester Trojanowski scored 0-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Giovani de Amaral, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 19th minute, Ksawery Felenak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Régis Loureiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Kacper Japola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Válter Barbosa came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Portuguesa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Válter Barbosa couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Portuguesa booed when Sparta LKS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wincent Pilarczyk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sparta LKS's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Oscar Seco 25 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. If Sylwester Trojanowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 35 minutes into the game, Frederico Barbosa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Kacper Japola was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Giovani de Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sylwester Trojanowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ludomir Koperski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Régis Loureiro made a precise shot to the right of Kacper Japola. Sparta LKS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Sylwester Trojanowski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Giovani de Amaral made a huge save. In the 85th minute, Frederico Barbosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Waclaw Cetnar's late challenge caught a Portuguesa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Waclaw Cetnar helped the player get up and apologised. After 92 played minutes Sparta LKS got a freekick which was hit by Waclaw Cetnar. Kacper Japola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oscar Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Portuguesa's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
