An unexpectedly hard shot by Holger Lindholm in the 14th minute of play forced Xurupita FC's goalkeeper Egídio Pirani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Egídio Pirani didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gunnar Björnberg went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Bloodthirsty FC's Aleksander Smefeldt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Bloodthirsty FC from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Serginho Dionísio got free with Aleksander Smefeldt in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 40th minute Gunnar Björnberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egídio Pirani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Bloodthirsty FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Patrik Mikaelsson hit a great ball. Bloodthirsty FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 46th minute, when Serginho Dionísio scored to the left of an out of position Aleksander Smefeldt, making the score, 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gunnar Björnberg made a kick off. Gunnar Björnberg received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Egídio Pirani came out and tried to block the shot, but Gunnar Björnberg slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 58th minute. Egídio Pirani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bo-Erik Nilsson in the 61st minute of the match. Gunnar Björnberg hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. After having played for 70 minutes, Laércio Alvarenga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Xurupita FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Laércio Alvarenga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Yan Rosado hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Adhemar da Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Aleksander Smefeldt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 79 played minutes Bloodthirsty FC got a freekick which was hit by Gunnar Björnberg. 82 minutes into the game, Gunnar Björnberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bloodthirsty FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Xurupita FC the free kick. After 82 played minutes Bloodthirsty FC got a freekick which was hit by Gunnar Björnberg. The referee felt a red card was in order, 93 minutes into the game, when Eddie Jernberg put in a rough tackle. After 92 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Bloodthirsty FC! Yan Rosado shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Chants of Bloodthirsty FC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Xurupita FC had held the ball for most of the match.
