In the 3rd minute, Vilhelm Zander ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lucrețiu Manolache was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicu Isăilă in the 10th minute of play forced Finninge Fotboll's goalkeeper Olof Finsberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Svante Vacker had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lucrețiu Manolache. FC Politehnica Timisoara's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Svante Vacker was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Jonatan Norström hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 19th minute Nicu Isăilă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olof Finsberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicu Isăilă did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-2 to the left of a surprised Olof Finsberg 23 minutes into the match. In the 27th minute, Cătălin Bostan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Finninge Fotboll's Karl-Erik Algren got a free kick in the 28th minute. A collision led to FC Politehnica Timisoara getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Moise Antoniu hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicu Isăilă got free with Olof Finsberg in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 44 played minutes FC Politehnica Timisoara got a freekick which was hit by Dorin Lungu. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Svante Vacker made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Finninge Fotboll's zone, Nicu Isăilă stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olof Finsberg came out of the goal and Nicu Isăilă tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Finninge Fotboll getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Jonatan Norström hit a great ball. After 55 played minutes Finninge Fotboll got a freekick which was hit by Vilhelm Zander. Nicu Isăilă scored 2-2 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Olof Finsberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 60 played minutes FC Politehnica Timisoara got a freekick which was hit by Costel Gorunescu. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nicu Isăilă in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Olof Finsberg saved Finninge Fotboll from getting behind. Nicu Isăilă succeeded in the game's 68th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-2. FC Politehnica Timisoara's Lucrețiu Manolache played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Svante Vacker in the 78th minute of play. After 80 played minutes FC Politehnica Timisoara got a freekick which was hit by Costel Gorunescu. Lucrețiu Manolache took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Svante Vacker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 83 minutes into the match, Svante Vacker dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Lucrețiu Manolache, 3-3. Nicu Isăilă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olof Finsberg having to interfere. The FC Politehnica Timisoara fans' excitement grew in the 95th match minute when FC Politehnica Timisoara's Nicu Isăilă looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. FC Politehnica Timisoara's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
