After 3 played minutes FC Politehnica Timisoara got a freekick which was hit by Matei Brăescu. After having played for 3 minutes, Niceto Ugutz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LA InDuStRiA INC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Niceto Ugutz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 6 minutes into the game, Santo Maties was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. LA InDuStRiA INC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Politehnica Timisoara the free kick. A collision led to LA InDuStRiA INC getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Santo Maties hit a great ball. Claudio Panpili took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorin Lungu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Victorino Urtsin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 9 minutes into the game, Nicu Isăilă cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Claudio Panpili was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The FC Politehnica Timisoara fans' excitement grew in the 15th match minute when FC Politehnica Timisoara's Nicu Isăilă looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Claudio Panpili stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nicu Isăilă's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. 22 minutes had been played when some careless play by LA InDuStRiA INC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dorin Lungu was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Politehnica Timisoara's players had a chance to rest. After 24 played minutes LA InDuStRiA INC got a freekick which was hit by Nicasio Henrico. A collision led to FC Politehnica Timisoara getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Iordache Buzgar hit a great ball. After 30 minutes, Emilio Koldo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the LA InDuStRiA INC and the FC Politehnica Timisoara players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 30th minute, Emilio Koldo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lucrețiu Manolache made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilio Koldo in the 33rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emilio Koldo got free with Lucrețiu Manolache in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 45 minutes into the game, Claudiu Azamfirei was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Politehnica Timisoara's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave LA InDuStRiA INC the free kick. In the 46th minute, Dorin Lungu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emilio Koldo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Lucrețiu Manolache tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half FC Politehnica Timisoara were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emilio Koldo to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, FC Politehnica Timisoara's goal looked a bit too open when Emilio Koldo came free, but Lucrețiu Manolache reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Nicasio Henrico came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the LA InDuStRiA INC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicasio Henrico couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 62 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Nicu Isăilă sped through LA InDuStRiA INC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Claudio Panpili. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nicu Isăilă in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Claudio Panpili saved LA InDuStRiA INC from getting behind. 74 minutes into the match, LA InDuStRiA INC's goalkeeper Claudio Panpili had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicu Isăilă. After a rather tough play, FC Politehnica Timisoara's Nicu Isăilă got a free kick in the 76th minute. If Godfredo Abad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claudio Panpili showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicu Isăilă in the 82nd minute of the match. Moise Antoniu took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Claudio Panpili. Claudio Panpili dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Claudio Panpili showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicu Isăilă in the 89th minute of the match. FC Politehnica Timisoara's Lucrețiu Manolache played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niceto Ugutz in the 91st minute of play. After a rather tough play, LA InDuStRiA INC's Santo Maties got a free kick in the 93rd minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FC Politehnica Timisoara eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
