An unexpectedly hard shot by 杨南朗 in the 39th minute of play forced SANTOS F.C's goalkeeper Wilson Travassos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 杨南朗 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 44th minute, Tostão de Amaral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

With an all-out effort, SANTOS F.C's 周昂棋 threw himself towards the right post 87 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luís Gustavo Vasconcelos, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Almir Schmidt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but 周昂棋 made a huge save. 周昂棋 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tostão de Amaral, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. 96 minutes in the game, Kléberson de Moraes fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without 周昂棋 having to interfere.
