Ivor Beck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abel Roland hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. The long shot by Oscar Crossman in the 7th minute really tested Ceferino Ishmael's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After a defensive mix-up in FC Basel's zone, Reynaldo Txomin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivor Beck came out of the goal and Reynaldo Txomin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 14 played minutes, CENTAURO's Bernardo Quentin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ivor Beck came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in CENTAURO reached it. CENTAURO's Evaristo Kismi got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joel Balendin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in CENTAURO's zone, Adrian Routledge stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ceferino Ishmael came out of the goal and Adrian Routledge tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bernardo Quentin took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ivor Beck. FC Basel's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joel Balendin in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ivor Beck prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ceferino Ishmael showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrian Routledge in the 35th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in FC Basel's zone, Joel Balendin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivor Beck came out of the goal and Joel Balendin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ivor Beck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodolfo Tuste, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Ivor Beck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evaristo Kismi in the 41st minute of the match. After 46 minutes of play, CENTAURO's Joel Balendin made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ivor Beck was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Evaristo Kismi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivor Beck having to interfere. Ivor Beck stood somewhat misplaced when Joel Balendin came free in front of goal and shot 0-2 to the left of him in the 60 minute. In the 64th minute Evaristo Kismi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivor Beck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ivor Beck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evaristo Kismi in the 67th minute of the match. When FC Basel's David Deakin in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CENTAURO's goalie prevented a goal. Bernardo Quentin kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, CENTAURO's Rodolfo Tuste got a free kick in the 81st minute. Ceferino Ishmael made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Deakin in the 87th minute of play. Ceferino Ishmael took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Deakin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Enzo Federigo shot from long distance in the 93rd minute, but Ivor Beck was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. The FC Basel supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching CENTAURO's performance. The match ended with a win for CENTAURO.
