Jan Kuokkanen scored 3-0 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Esteve Jerardo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Esteve Jerardo was a little too slow when Viljami Rajamäki got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 31st minute. The score was now 4-0. 34 minutes into the match, Jan Kuokkanen dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Esteve Jerardo, 5-0. 41 minutes into the match, Juniors FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kaarle Väätäinen came free, but Esteve Jerardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ruben Bizen during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kaarle Väätäinen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Kuokkanen in the 53rd minute of play forced Juniors FC's goalkeeper Esteve Jerardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Esteve Jerardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan Kuokkanen in the 54th minute of play. In the 57th minute, Viljami Rajamäki left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Savon Palloseura fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Esteve Jerardo came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Savon Palloseura's Kaarle Väätäinen. But to his dismay, Kaarle Väätäinen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. In the 68th match minute, Juniors FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucio Mancio to maneuver through the defense. In the 69th minute of the match Kosti Kukkonen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Esteve Jerardo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 72 played minutes Juniors FC got a freekick which was hit by Gregorio Montrell. Juniors FC's Esteve Jerardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaarle Väätäinen in the 74th minute of play. If Domingos Sandalio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 82 minutes into the game, Tauno Kivimäki was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Savon Palloseura's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Juniors FC the free kick. The supporters of Juniors FC booed when Savon Palloseura was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tauno Kivimäki didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 84th minute, Domingos Sandalio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 86 minutes into the match, Juniors FC's goal looked a bit too open when Viljami Rajamäki came free, but Esteve Jerardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Juniors FC defense, Jan Kuokkanen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Esteve Jerardo. The Juniors FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Esteve Jerardo should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tauno Kivimäki in the 90th minute of play forced Juniors FC's goalkeeper Esteve Jerardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Esteve Jerardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan Kuokkanen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Savon Palloseura's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
