Spectators: 7492 (Terracing: 5620, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Freddy Blakewell started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in The Loyal ones's zone, Marty Child stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Torbjörn Tunander came out of the goal and Marty Child tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Clapham Rovers's Conan Worth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Oskar Bergvall in the 15th minute of play. Torbjörn Tunander made an important save on a dangerous shot by Freddy Blakewell in the 16th minute. Torbjörn Tunander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harvey Eslworth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Torbjörn Tunander was a little too slow when Freddy Blakewell got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 23rd minute. The score was now 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Glenn Osmond kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Torbjörn Tunander. That made the score 2-0 in the 26 minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Freddy Blakewell in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Torbjörn Tunander prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Loyal ones's Sven-Olof Biörkman got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Torbjörn Tunander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harvey Eslworth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The nice shot from Freddy Blakewell in the 38thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Torbjörn Tunander had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Torbjörn Tunander made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Freddy Blakewell sent off a good shot on target. The Loyal ones's Torbjörn Tunander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Glenn Osmond in the 42nd minute of play. In the 44th minute, Freddy Blakewell made a precise shot to the right of Torbjörn Tunander. The Loyal ones's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sven-Oskar Bergvall made a kick off. 66 minutes into the game, Glenn Osmond was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Clapham Rovers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave The Loyal ones the free kick. Glenn Osmond kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. The supporters of Clapham Rovers booed when The Loyal ones was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Otto Säfström didn't get a good kick on the ball. 79 minutes into the game, Glenn Osmond cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Torbjörn Tunander was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Torbjörn Tunander came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Clapham Rovers's Freddy Blakewell. But to his dismay, Freddy Blakewell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Torbjörn Tunander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Glenn Osmond, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Sly Baker's late challenge caught a The Loyal ones's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sly Baker helped the player get up and apologised. Conan Worth was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from David Dahlberg. When the referee ended the match the Clapham Rovers players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
