Dimitri Huijbreghts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faustino Naldo in the 31st minute of the match. Silvano Ostadar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfons van Haghten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th minute Jo Rosbach shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvano Ostadar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 37th minute by Elias Eufemio got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 41 minutes into the game, Esquirla FC's Alfons van Haghten nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Silvano Ostadar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Silvano Ostadar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basiel Van de Weijer, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Basiel Van de Weijer was the one to do the kick off. Silvano Ostadar was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jo Rosbach showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 54 minute of play. Nemesio Ponciano kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. In the 61st minute, Esquirla FC's Basiel Van de Weijer dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. The attack was good, but when Basiel Van de Weijer in the 91st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. 94 minutes into the match, Itacaruaré FC's goalkeeper Silvano Ostadar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Basiel Van de Weijer. Celso Mincho charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Celso Mincho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The Itacaruaré FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Esquirla FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
