Róbson Miranda hit a great ball. Juliusz Pacholewski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rômulo Camargo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. In the 23rd minute, André Luís de Amaral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Juliusz Pacholewski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gleszcz SSA's supporters rose to their feet, but Juliusz Pacholewski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rômulo Camargo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Stanislaw Podolski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Rômulo Camargo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Juliusz Pacholewski to strike the kick off in the second half. Juliusz Pacholewski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rômulo Camargo having to interfere. Rômulo Camargo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juliusz Pacholewski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
