When the match had been going on for 19 minutes, Temperley's Amado Venceslao got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Elivélton Koehler. In the 25th minute Wilson Sá shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prudencio Johans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Temperley's Amado Venceslao got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A well placed Iker Montrell short distance shot in the 32nd minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. When Amado Venceslao came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Temperley fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amado Venceslao couldn't finish the play. Prudencio Johans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Cavalcante in the 40th minute of play. The supporters of Montesclarense E.C. booed when Temperley was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Desiderio Maidana didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julian Primo kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Iker Montrell to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Montesclarense E.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Desiderio Maidana came free, but Elivélton Koehler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute, Amado Venceslao made a precise shot to the right of Elivélton Koehler. Montesclarense E.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. After 67 minutes, Iker Montrell mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Temperley and the Montesclarense E.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Elivélton Koehler came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Temperley's Amado Venceslao. But to his dismay, Amado Venceslao quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Montesclarense E.C.'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
