Spectators: 7549 (Terracing: 5663, Seating: 1736, VIP seats: 150) Sólbjörn Guðnason started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. But to his dismay, Sólbjörn Guðnason quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Jarl Kormáksson's late challenge caught a Montesclarense E.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luiz Monteiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Skarphéðinn Ormarsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. With a little luck, Æsir Ásgarðr's Skarphéðinn Ormarsson got control of the ball when Luiz Cavalcante tried to sneak it across the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Montesclarense E.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Sólbjörn Guðnason came free, but Elivélton Koehler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute Sólbjörn Guðnason shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elivélton Koehler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Sólbjörn Guðnason managed to get in a good position for a shot. Æsir Ásgarðr's supporters rose to their feet, but Sólbjörn Guðnason was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elivélton Koehler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Sólbjörn Guðnason's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Elivélton Koehler was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. Æsir Ásgarðr's Sólbjörn Guðnason got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luiz Cavalcante to strike the kick off in the second half. Ámundi Hallmundsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 55 minutes into the match, Wilson Sá had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Skarphéðinn Ormarsson. Æsir Ásgarðr's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wilson Sá was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 62nd minute Sólbjörn Guðnason shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elivélton Koehler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute Maggi Borgþórsson suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. After 64 played minutes Montesclarense E.C. got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Monteiro. Elivélton Koehler made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sólbjörn Guðnason in the 68th minute. Wilson Sá charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wilson Sá the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in Montesclarense E.C.'s zone, Mathías Oddsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elivélton Koehler came out of the goal and Mathías Oddsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sólbjörn Guðnason succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-3 in the 83rd playminute. Sólbjörn Guðnason fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elivélton Koehler having to interfere. 89 minutes into the match, Montesclarense E.C.'s goalkeeper Elivélton Koehler had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sólbjörn Guðnason. If Skjöldur Reimarsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sólbjörn Guðnason succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-4 in the 92nd playminute. Æsir Ásgarðr played a much better game than Montesclarense E.C. and deserved their victory. The Montesclarense E.C. players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
