Valdemar Moreira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dieguinho Magalhães in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Esteve Tonio saved Vinará FC from getting behind. Valdemar Moreira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustavo Aznar in the 12th minute. When Luís Eduardo Santana fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's protests and gave Luís Eduardo Santana a yellow card for diving instead. After 14 played minutes Jacuitiba - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Luís Eduardo Santana. In the 20th minute Dieguinho Magalhães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esteve Tonio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th minute Elano Martins suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. When Edelmiro Txaran fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vinará FC's protests and gave Edelmiro Txaran a yellow card for diving instead. After 40 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Vinará FC! In the 47thth minute of the game Dieguinho Magalhães who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vinará FC's Esteve Tonio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Dieguinho Magalhães made the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute, Dieguinho Magalhães made a precise shot to the right of Esteve Tonio. Vinará FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. In the 67th match minute, Jacuitiba - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benjamin Travassos to maneuver through the defense.
