The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pacho Oton during the 4th minute. That made the score 1-1 after 19 minutes of play. Göran Hellqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cesario Pedulles in the 27th minute of play. Cesario Pedulles took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Göran Hellqvist. Göran Hellqvist dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Söderhall's Göran Hellqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cris Brunet in the 32nd minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 35th minute by Algot Tingberg got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 36 minutes into the match, Algot Tingberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dominic Morquera. Atlético Grau Piura's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Algot Tingberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Xorxe Ibero kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Söderhall's zone, Cesario Pedulles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Göran Hellqvist came out of the goal and Cesario Pedulles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Calle Askberg to make the kick off. In the 55th match minute, Söderhall was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jimmie Säf to maneuver through the defense. In the 56th minute, Calle Askberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dominic Morquera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bertil Öfverman in the 60th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Atlético Grau Piura's goal looked a bit too open when Sten Lund came free, but Dominic Morquera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 62 played minutes Atlético Grau Piura got a freekick which was hit by Pacho Oton. When Algot Tingberg came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Söderhall fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Algot Tingberg couldn't finish the play. In the 68th minute, Algot Tingberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dominic Morquera was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. Calle Askberg took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dominic Morquera. Dominic Morquera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-3. In the 84th minute, Cris Brunet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bengt Lenberg took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 85th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dominic Morquera. Atlético Grau Piura's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Sten Lund managed to get in a good position for a shot. Söderhall's supporters rose to their feet, but Sten Lund was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dominic Morquera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Xorxe Ibero kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. In the 88th minute, Bengt Lenberg sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Atlético Grau Piura's Dominic Morquera didn't even have to move. 90 minutes into the match, Atlético Grau Piura's goal looked a bit too open when Calle Askberg came free, but Dominic Morquera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 91 minutes into the match, Söderhall's goal looked a bit too open when Rayman Moixi came free, but Göran Hellqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
