When Patricio Garviras came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Imperio Catatumbo de Lara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patricio Garviras couldn't finish the play. In the 38th match minute, Imperio Catatumbo de Lara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santo Delgado to maneuver through the defense. Zoil Peregrin had in the 46thth minute some difficulties stopping Olgierd Bartochowski's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Olgierd Bartochowski scored 2-0 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zoil Peregrin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Patricio Garviras was the one to do the kick off. After 52 minutes, Nazario Monteserin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Imperio Catatumbo de Lara and the Sparta Torex players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience was convinced that Patricio Garviras's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sebastian Bielejewski was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's Raebert Manzano got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 83rd minute, Zachary Jarosiewicz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rubio Pando sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Raebert Manzano kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zachary Jarosiewicz in the 94th minute of play forced Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's goalkeeper Zoil Peregrin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zoil Peregrin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zachary Jarosiewicz in the 95th minute of play. The Sparta Torex players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
