After a rather tough play, MK Investments's Govert Drenth got a free kick in the 4th minute. The audience was convinced that Marcelo Farias's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kelvin Overmars was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. The supporters of MK Investments booed when Defensores de Lombroso was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Napier didn't get a good kick on the ball. Danilo Barrionuevo acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 16th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Geert Hebert. Kelvin Overmars made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelo Farias in the 21st minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Marcelo Farias had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kelvin Overmars. MK Investments's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcelo Farias was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The Defensores de Lombroso fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when Defensores de Lombroso's Marcelo Farias looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 34th minute Marcelo Farias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kelvin Overmars saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. MK Investments's Kelvin Overmars played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ladislao Cresconio in the 35th minute of play. A collision led to MK Investments getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Benjamin Spijker hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcelo Farias in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kelvin Overmars prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Karsten Fleur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Danilo Barrionuevo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Defensores de Lombroso's Danilo Barrionuevo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karsten Fleur in the 53rd minute of play. Danilo Barrionuevo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamin Spijker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kelvin Overmars was a little too slow when Marcelo Farias got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 57th minute. The score was now 0-4. Juan Simon kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. After having played for 62 minutes, Govert Drenth managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MK Investments's supporters crossed their fingers, but Govert Drenth was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Danilo Barrionuevo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin Spijker in the 65th minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, Defensores de Lombroso's goal looked a bit too open when Govert Drenth came free, but Danilo Barrionuevo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Defensores de Lombroso made a substitution. Amadeo Remir replaced Ambrosio Muc. Danilo Barrionuevo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karsten Fleur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 84th minute, Marcelo Farias reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Kelvin Overmars. The goal made the score 0-6. In the 92nd match minute, Defensores de Lombroso was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Simon to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 94 in the game by Marcelo Farias from a close distance when the talented Kelvin Overmars managed to make a qualified save. MK Investments's players were relieved. In the 95th minute, Amadeo Remir got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Defensores de Lombroso walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
