The Norrlands Athen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 6th match minute, Norrlands Athen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roger Kämpe to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Vela Garros's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lars-Erik Wall was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. In the 8th match minute, C.A. GUAYACO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nando Bordonoba to maneuver through the defense. Vela Garros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vela Garros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Lars-Erik Wall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rickard Andreasson charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rickard Andreasson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of C.A. GUAYACO booed when Norrlands Athen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rickard Andreasson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vela Garros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lars-Erik Wall having to interfere. Lars-Erik Wall showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yader Aramberri in the 19th minute of the match. In the 20th minute, Rickard Andreasson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yader Aramberri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Norrlands Athen getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Oskar Björk hit a great ball. With a little luck, Norrlands Athen's Lars-Erik Wall got control of the ball when Vela Garros tried to sneak it across the goal line. Norrlands Athen's defense didn't have a chance, in the 30th minute, when Vela Garros scored to the left of an out of position Lars-Erik Wall, making the score, 1-1. In the 34th minute Roger Kämpe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Mejia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vela Garros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

In the 61st minute Vela Garros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lars-Erik Wall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66th minute, Vela Garros left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C.A. GUAYACO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Vela Garros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Norrlands Athen's Vincent Molin got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Roger Kämpe took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Hugo Mejia to make any attempt to save it. Norrlands Athen succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though C.A. GUAYACO had controlled the match.
