Forza Beşiktaş's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cleto Estebano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Arcan Saykal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cleto Estebano in the 42nd minute of the match. With his leg Prospero Matxin managed to avoid a goal in the 43rdth minute, when Forza Beşiktaş's Mert Hiçsönmez fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mert Hiçsönmez to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Cleto Estebano took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Arcan Saykal to make any attempt to save it. Arcan Saykal was a little too slow when Carlos Frascuelo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 58th minute. The score was now 0-3. The audience was convinced that Mert Hiçsönmez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Prospero Matxin was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. In the 67th minute, Carlos Frascuelo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Forza Beşiktaş made a substitution. Süleyman Bayezit replaced Hasret Taciroğlu. Carlos Frascuelo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Arcan Saykal came out and tried to block the shot, but Carlos Frascuelo slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 72nd minute. 76 minutes into the match, Baltasar Millano dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Arcan Saykal, 0-5. If Gani Akpınar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Prospero Matxin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mert Hiçsönmez in the 88th minute of play. Gani Akpınar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prospero Matxin having to interfere.
