Spectators: 7579 (Terracing: 5685, Seating: 1743, VIP seats: 151) Dep. Moron's Bronson Keene started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Dep. Moron's Ernest Long got control of the ball when Evandro Lago tried to sneak it across the goal line. A.A. Francana's Alexandre Sarmento got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, A.A. Francana's Luiz Eduardo Rodrigues got a free kick in the 10th minute. Dep. Moron's Lucas Palacios got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 24 minutes into the game, Lucas Palacios was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dep. Moron's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave A.A. Francana the free kick. In the 24th match minute, Dep. Moron was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucas Palacios to maneuver through the defense. Dep. Moron's defense didn't have a chance, in the 33rd minute, when Armandinho Vergílio scored to the left of an out of position Ernest Long, making the score, 1-0. In the 37th minute Bronson Keene shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Telmo Trigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st minute, Armandinho Vergílio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in A.A. Francana's zone, Bronson Keene stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Telmo Trigo came out of the goal and Bronson Keene tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of A.A. Francana booed when Dep. Moron was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jim McCann didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

After 61 minutes of play Dep. Moron's Lucas Palacios was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 62nd match minute, Dep. Moron was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucas Palacios to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armandinho Vergílio in the 66th minute of play forced Dep. Moron's goalkeeper Ernest Long to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A.A. Francana's Armandinho Vergílio got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, A.A. Francana's Evandro Lago got a free kick in the 78th minute. 80 minutes into the match, A.A. Francana's goal looked a bit too open when Bronson Keene came free, but Telmo Trigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ernest Long made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilton Romero in the 90th minute of play. Dep. Moron's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
