The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ernani Saldanha was the one to do the kick off. Per Myr could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Abelardo Vaz made a huge save. When Júlio Brasil fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Oiteiras's protests and gave Júlio Brasil a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Oiteiras's Júlio Brasil got a free kick in the 58th minute. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Oiteiras's goalkeeper Abelardo Vaz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
