After a rather tough play, Barra Funda F.C's Wesley Tróia got a free kick in the 13th minute. Luizão Paraense charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luizão Paraense the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 17th minute, Luizão Paraense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olav Nydal in the 18th minute of play forced Barra Funda F.C's goalkeeper Gugu Gaúcho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Barra Funda F.C defense, Peter Mogen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gugu Gaúcho. The Barra Funda F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gugu Gaúcho should have stopped the shot. 25 minutes into the match, Olav Nydal notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Barra Funda F.C's Gugu Gaúcho. Gugu Gaúcho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 34th minute, Wesley Tróia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the KEZ Toppfotball defense, Norberto Goiano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kai-Arne Ulset. The KEZ Toppfotball fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kai-Arne Ulset should have stopped the shot. After the first half KEZ Toppfotball were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Olav Nydal was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Afonso Soares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gugu Gaúcho was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Peter Mogen showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 60 minute of play. 65 minutes into the game, Hortêncio Freire was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barra Funda F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KEZ Toppfotball the free kick. Hortêncio Freire kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Peter Mogen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gugu Gaúcho having to interfere. Gjøran Nome struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Gugu Gaúcho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KEZ Toppfotball. 74 minutes into the match, Barra Funda F.C's goalkeeper Gugu Gaúcho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Peter Mogen. The supporters of Barra Funda F.C booed when KEZ Toppfotball was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sverre Opstad didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 85 minutes of play Barra Funda F.C's Hortêncio Freire was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 85th match minute, Barra Funda F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hortêncio Freire to maneuver through the defense. KEZ Toppfotball played a much better game than Barra Funda F.C and deserved their victory. The Barra Funda F.C players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
