When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Codruț Giurăscu took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Lauritz Bohacek to make any attempt to save it. In the 21st minute, Viorel Firu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 26 minutes into the match, Viorel Firu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lauritz Bohacek. F.C. København's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Viorel Firu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Corneliu Macamete showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrea Brejnebøl, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Ştefan Cârlan hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. 31 minutes into the match, Jose Brejnebøl notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Alexandria Team08's Corneliu Macamete. København were leading 2-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After 94 played minutes Alexandria Team08 got a freekick which was hit by Adam Butnaru. The Alexandria Team08 fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. F.C. København were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
