In the 20th minute, Angelo Nazario got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ruben Iturri's late challenge caught a Rivermania FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 36th minute Cipriano Arixo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arturo Sengrat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Angelo Salbatore hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Arturo Sengrat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florencio Rivero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Angelo Nazario could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Marcelito Barovero made a huge save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Angelo Nazario to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the game, Hipolito Ponce cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Marcelito Barovero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hilario Hartz in the 59th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Rivermania FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hipolito Ponce came free, but Arturo Sengrat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arturo Sengrat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freddy Nerio, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute.
