Spectators: 7474 (Terracing: 5607, Seating: 1718, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Costel Cezariu started the match with the kick off. Costel Cezariu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zakariás Bíró having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Costel Cezariu in the 8th minute of play forced Szolnoki MÁV's goalkeeper Zakariás Bíró to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Milán Kocsis hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Gelu Petrică charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gelu Petrică the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, MIT's Gelu Petrică got a free kick in the 14th minute. Szolnoki MÁV's Zakariás Bíró proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Szolnoki MÁV from getting a goal against them. In the 18thth minute of the game Costel Cezariu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Szolnoki MÁV's Zakariás Bíró was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Leonard Cutean kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. A collision led to MIT getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Nichifor Mara hit a great ball. In the 24th match minute, MIT was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gelu Petrică to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Costel Cezariu in the 29th minute of play forced Szolnoki MÁV's goalkeeper Zakariás Bíró to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute Gelu Petrică shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zakariás Bíró saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Costel Cezariu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 35 minutes into the match, Szolnoki MÁV's goalkeeper Zakariás Bíró had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Costel Cezariu. 39 minutes into the game, MIT's Costel Cezariu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zakariás Bíró made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Csanád Újvári in the 44th minute of play forced MIT's goalkeeper Iulian Burtea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Csanád Újvári might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Iulian Burtea. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Csanád Újvári ran back to his position shaking his head.

Costel Cezariu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zakariás Bíró read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. A collision led to MIT getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Emanuel Fințescu hit a great ball. Tibor Vadas hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. András Kis hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. MIT made a substitution. Cristian Rareș replaced Nicolae Encuțu. A collision led to MIT getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Nicolae Encuțu hit a great ball. Iulian Burtea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Csanád Újvári, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 74th minute, Petre Prislop hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Petre Prislop kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. In the 75th minute, Csanád Újvári sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and MIT's Iulian Burtea didn't even have to move. Zakariás Bíró took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gelu Petrică, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 89 minutes, Petre Prislop mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MIT and the Szolnoki MÁV players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 90 played minutes MIT got a freekick which was hit by Petre Prislop. Many of Szolnoki MÁV's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Szolnoki MÁV may have spent more time on the ball, but MIT were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
